Welcome to the land of wine and cheese!
Let’s go together to visit the Côte d’Or, the Doubs, the Jura, the Nièvre, the Haute-Saône, the Saône-et-Loire, the Yonne and the Belfort area (yes, I know that’s a lot).
A hotel barge?
I’ve found something rather unusual for you to visit around here. It is on the Burgundy canal that I propose you to stay. A hotel barge worthy of a grand hotel.
Cheese lovers?
For those who love cheese, now is the time! Everybody knows the comté, morbier, mont d’or or cancoillotte and so on?
Take the opportunity to discover lesser-known cheeses such as trou du cru, brillat-savarin, petit gaugry, maconnais sec, tour de la guyotte or bleu de Gex, bourrichon and clacbitou.
With a little drink?
When you say cheese, you say a nice glass of wine to go with it. In this part, I won’t tell you the name of the wine but some places where you won’t be disappointed.
In Saône-et-Loire, on the RD978 is the Château de couches which you can visit and enjoy a good tasting at the end of the visit.
La roche de Solutré is a large site where you can make beautiful hikes in the middle of the vineyards.
In Saint Andelain in the Nièvre, you can admire the vineyards of Pouilly and the Loire from its belvedere.
Dijon
The capital of the Burgundy – Franche Comté region and famous for its famous mustard, Dijon has many surprises in store for you.
You will find there the palace of the Dukes of Burgundy, the Museum of Fine Arts, the cathedral without forgetting the church Notre-Dame de Dijon.
Châlon sur Saône
We end with a city rich in art and history. World cradle of photography, the life of this city is in the streets. You will find there the Nicéphore Niepce museum which is dedicated to the history of photography.
