Small Land
If there’s one thing not to be missed here is Lake Dziani, nicknamed the Jurassic lake. Here you will find water twice as salty as the sea.
The Mahoraise mangrove
Welcome to the mangrove of trees growing in the sea water! These are mangrove forests that can be visited.
Turtles
Here too you can observe the turtles laying their eggs. As soon as they are born, the babies rush to the ocean but only 1% will manage to survive the predators.
Lagoon
The lagoon is a diver’s paradise where a multitude of animal species and flora can be observed at close quarters. You will find a lot of activities to do. The lagoon of Mayotte is one of the most beautiful in the world.
Mount Choungui
It is the second highest peak on the island, at 594 metres above sea level. But before climbing it, I suggest you stop at the BandrĂ©lĂ© salt museum…
