Why do Asians wear masks?

A small adjustment is necessary because it’s real nonsense!

People often take as an example Asians who are used to wearing the mask. But where the bottom hurts is that they believe they all wear it under all circumstances. Out, it is archi false!

If you look at reports or videos from previous years, you will notice that not everyone wears one. It is not systematic. Those who do have very particular reasons.

The very first reason is when someone is sick (cold, cough…), it serves to limit the projections on others. It seems that this practice has become common since the Spanish flu of 1918.

The second reason is to prevent and limit pollen allergies. It would seem here that the practice has been common since 1994 but we could also go back to 1964 which already mentioned these pollen allergies.

Another reason and not the least: to protect oneself from pollution. However, the effectiveness of the mask has never been proven …

Finally, there are the somewhat « crazy » reasons, such as to avoid showing up in public without make-up or shaving. But it has also become a fashion phenomenon that is considered as an accessory in the same way as jewelry. Others want to remain anonymous or have as little social interaction as possible.

In short, they don’t wear it out of obligation but rather out of conviction for one of these reasons and not everyone wears it (now yes).
