Zetestic is a technical term for a skeptical person. In a way, the "zetetician" wants to provide rational explanations for so-called paranormal facts, beliefs or supernatural phenomena.
But they are not scientists, this term is now used to verify certain assertions, the so-called "fake news". This expression has been used since 2017.
